Cloud Security Engineer Harden client cloud estates for real — landing zones, IAM remediation, policy-as-code and Kubernetes security. This is a building role, not a reviewing one.

What you will be doing Assess client AWS, Azure and GCP environments against CIS benchmarks and provider security guidance. Design and implement landing zones, guardrail policies and organisational controls. Remediate IAM over-permissioning and eliminate long-lived credentials. Write and deploy policy-as-code into client CI pipelines.
Harden Kubernetes clusters — admission control, network policy, image provenance. Build cloud detection use cases mapped to ATT&CK for Cloud.
What we need from you Four or more years in cloud engineering or cloud security with production responsibility. Strong Terraform, and comfort reading and writing Python or Go. Deep knowledge of at least one hyperscaler's IAM model, and working knowledge of a second. Practical Kubernetes security experience, not just conceptual. Ability to explain to a platform team why a guardrail matters without being resented for it. Helpful but not required Genuinely optional. We have hired people with none of these and they are among our strongest practitioners.
Experience with OPA, Kyverno, Checkov or similar policy engines. Cloud provider security certifications. Detection engineering background. Prior consulting experience. Our hiring process
