This policy sets out every cookie and browser storage item this website may set, its purpose, its lifetime and how to control it.
It is short because our cookie estate is small. We use functional storage for your theme preference and announcement dismissal, a transient session cookie from our hosting layer, and — where enabled — first-party aggregate analytics with IP anonymisation. Nothing else.
We advise clients on consent architecture, so it would be difficult to justify running an invasive cookie estate ourselves. This website uses the minimum required to function and to understand in aggregate which content is useful.
There are no advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No social media tracking widgets. No cross-site identifiers. No data broker integrations. If that list surprises you for a B2B marketing website, it is worth asking why.
The table below is the complete list of cookies and browser storage items this website may set. If you find something in your browser from our domain that is not on this list, please tell us — that would be a finding we would want to close.
| Item and type | Purpose, lifetime and category |
|---|---|
| datatrust-theme (local storage) | Remembers whether you chose light, dark or system appearance so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. Persistent until you clear site data. Strictly necessary for the preference to work; set only when you change the theme. |
| datatrust-announcement (local storage) | Records that you dismissed the announcement bar, so it does not reappear on every page. Persistent until you clear site data or we publish a new announcement. Strictly necessary for the dismissal to work. |
| Session cookie (HTTP, first party) | Set transiently by our hosting layer to maintain request integrity and support rate limiting on form endpoints. Expires when you close the browser. Strictly necessary. |
| Aggregate analytics (first party, if enabled) | Where analytics is enabled, it is configured to collect page views, referrer and approximate region in aggregate, with IP anonymisation and no cross-site identifier. Retained 14 months in aggregate form. Analytical category. |
This website does not embed third-party scripts for advertising, social media or session recording.
Two categories of third-party interaction do occur, and both are worth knowing about:
Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage per site. Look for "Privacy and security" in settings, then "Cookies and site data" or the equivalent.
Because our storage items are functional rather than tracking, blocking them will not break the site. You will lose your theme preference and the announcement bar will reappear, which is the full extent of the impact.
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal and the Do Not Track header. Because we do not perform behavioural tracking, there is nothing for these signals to disable — but we have implemented the check rather than ignoring it, so that if our practices ever change the respect for those signals is already in place.
If we add, remove or change any cookie or storage item, we will update the table above and revise the last updated date at the top of this page.
